More about

Aberdeunant is a rare survival of a traditional Welsh farm, purchased for that reason in 1996, with help from the HLF, Cadw, Centenary Guardians and various legacies. It continues to be farmed, using traditional methods. The main farmhouse is of cruck frame and clom construction, and is tenanted, viewable only by appointment.

The three landscapes are by Addie Williams who was a relation of Gwilym Thomas whose family had lived at Aberdeunant since the 1860s and from whom the National Trust bought the property. She attended Rosa and Mary Mcarthur’s Abbey House school for young ladies in Llandeilo in the early twentieth century.
