The Museum has an active temporary exhibition program with local, national and international displays. The Museum’s Education and Access Service offers a wide variety of activities, events and facilities for lifelong learning including education facilities geared towards the requirements of the National Curriculum in several topics. There is parking and easy access for disabled visitors.

The opening hours are Monday to Tuesday, Thursday– Friday, 11am–1pm and 2pm–5pm. From June to August the Museum is open Saturday–Sunday, 10am–1pm and 2pm–5pm. From September to May it is open Saturday, 11am–2pm. It is always closed on a Wednesday.
